I would like to find a “starter set” of LOINC-identified lab tests, for inclusion in our EMR program. I have in mind something equivalent in breadth to the order sheets that the labs provide to physicians, which typically list fewer than 100 tests or panels. My purpose is to provide some basic identifiers to be used in alerts (e.g. “Hemoglobin A1C > 7.0”)–and I can’t use the labs’ identifiers since I don’t know which lab the physician will use.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
We have a standard LOINC encoded starter dictionary in xls that we use with our interface integration tool. What EMR are you planning to use with this?
