With the updates to the structure of erythrocyte distribution width codes, I’ve found that it is quite difficult to search for this test. Were synonyms changed with the update? Would it be possible to add RDW and erythrocyte distribution width as searchable synonyms to the appropriate LOINC codes? Currently it seems that the only way to find the codes for RDW/erythrocyte distribution width is to use “erythrocyte distwidth”, which may not be well known to most end users. If there is another way please let me know. Thank you.
