LOINC to Quest and LabCorp Test Mapping

Is anyone aware of any systematic mapping effort between major US national lab vendor test codes (Quest, Labcorp, university health systems etc) in relation to single common parent LOINC? Asking for a friend on our interop team and to greatly disambiguate an unnecessary and arbitrary landscape of various test codes.

I don’t know about the commercial labs, but Graphite is producing a file with exactly the information you are looking for. Graphite is a not-for-profit company with the goal of creating semantic interoperability, and we would be excited to share the work we have done so far. Feel free to contact me directly. stan.huff@graphitehealth.io

@zortiz - Curious to see if you found anything on this ; we’re working on fine-tuning/training an LLM and setting up a RAG pipeline around this

Hello,

Reference labs mentioned (Quest Diagnostics, LabCorp, Mayo and ARUP) and others, have mapped orders and/or results to LOINCs. They are available on their online compendiums and a number have a downloadable map available. Each performing laboratory is responsible for maintaining their mappings to LOINC such as when there are test changes in their compendiums.
