How often should Loinc Terms be updated in the EHR?

Hello Jessica, updates to LOINC are released twice per year, in February and August. Per Section 12.6 of the LOINC Users’ Guide, our recommendation is to update systems within 90 days of a new LOINC version’s release. New versions of LOINC contain new concepts but also important updates to existing terms. Let us know if you have additional questions.
