Just wonder if SNOMED CT & LOINC Mapping is good to use or not?

Hello! thank you for your question. The work between the two organizations is ongoing. Regenstrief will be providing an update at the upcoming Conference in Washington DC the week of September 17th. What is your current use case?

Hi Hai,

As Pam mentioned if you have a special use case please let us know. I would like to add that If you are asking from perspective of a release to download and implement, then the response is that the current LOINC ontology extension is just a test and a preview to an official release coming in October time frame or a little later with considerable changes. We are looking into the release date still and it will be shared in the next upcoming couple of weeks, more specifically at our LOINC 2024 Conference.

Great to hear that there will be new updates soon in coming weeks.
Ofc, my use case will be in Clinical Information System where doctors can put their lab orders with both LOINC codes as well as SNOMED CT concepts. So we can bring most benefits from both LOINC and SCT.

It is wonderful that official release will be available by the end of this year! Cant wait to see them!
