A prominent feature of this new forum platform is the use of a person’s profile photo along side their posts to help identify themselves. By default, this avatar is the first initial of your first name. You can upload your own photo via the Gravatar website.
Numerous website use Gravatar as a single source for a user’s profile photo(s). Your email address is the key to connecting your Gravatar to your LOINC account. Use the same email address, and this website should automatically retrieve your photo from Gravatar.
Note that this step is completely optional. You do not have to create a profile photo to participate in this platform. Know that if you do, if will carry forward on many of the websites and platforms in which you participate.
