Is there a process to request new LOINC Answer codes? I’m needing LA codes for new code
104132-6 Human papilloma virus 16 and 18 and 31 and 45+33+52+58 and 35+39+51+56+59+66+68 DNA [Interpretation] in Cervix by NAA with probe detection, but I am having difficulty finding out how to make such a request.

Hi Jeremy,
For now you can use the standard request form for new LOINC codes that we have posted on the Submission Portal. Fill in the information of the concept (s) in question, and add the new answer list(s) information that you need us to create and attach. Add the LOINC code in question in the first column after the template columns (Additional Column), and send it to Submissions. Please explain in the body of the email what you are looking for.
We are improving our Submission process for edits, and request like yours by creating a new request form for “Edits and Revisions” that can be submitted to the same site like requesting New LOINC codes. This process will allow better monitoring and following up on all the incoming requests of New or/and Edits to the “Submissions” inbox.
