gene mutations tested for vs gene mutation analysis

I was assign to mapped local codes in my country (Thailand) with LOINC in varies of lab section. For the gene mutation section, the local test name : FGFR2 Mutation which report in term of type of mutation. So I’m not clearly understand how different between gene mutations tested for and gene mutation analysis (21675-4 and 21674-7) and Which LOINC code should I use?.

I’ll tell what Jamalyne Deckard wrote us in an email:

our recommendation is to use the mutation analysis codes for reporting the patient’s variants (specific mutation or genotypes) identified and using the tested for codes for reporting all the mutations (or alleles) that were tested for.
