Clarification on Filters in Hierarchy Browser and Related CSV Files

Hi all,

I’m working with the hierarchy browser and noticed that a CSV is provided for the “component by system” filter. However, I would like to understand how the hierarchy data for the other filters is retrieved and whether specific CSVs are used for each of them.

Could someone please clarify the following:

  • What is the role of the filters in the hierarchy browser, and how do they function?
  • Are there specific CSV files for other filters (e.g.,class, system, method, panels, document ontology) that contribute to building the hierarchy data?
  • If available, could you point me to where I can find these CSV files or any additional documentation on them?

Hello Adarsh,

You are correct, only the Component by System hierarchy data is published in our distribution as CSV files. I suggest you go to Log In ‹ LOINC — WordPress (Login required) and click the drop down to find the hierarchy you want. From there you can export the data as CSV.

This data along with the information about structure should allow you to recreate the given hierarchy.
