Hemoglobin in mmol/l (SCnc)

Postby Dirk Bakkeren » Fri Mar 05, 2010 12:25 pm

In the Netherlands a program wil start to map assays codes to LOINC. Using RELMA the first test I tried to find was hemoglobin. No sweat i thought, but I only found hemoglobin in blood in Mass/Volume (MCnc) = LOINC 718-7. In the Netherlands we use SI units, so express hemoglobin (mmol/L) as SCnc.
Am I correct that for this way of reporting hemoglobin results there is no LOINC code sofar? If so, I can request for a new code for hemoglobin in blood SCnc in mmol/l.
