LOINC Multi-axial hierarchy problem

Postby clynch » Tue Jan 26, 2010 10:38 pm

The multi-axial hierarchy in version 2.29 is inaccurate. An example is that Chlamydia sp ab is under Campylobacter jejuni. There are many other errors as well.

It seems that the issue is that you have in fact corrected the errors that I found in the previous release and our tool (which worked around the errors) needs to be aligned with the correct subsumption.

Thanks

Well, I was a bit optimistic. The multiaxial hierarchy is flawed in that the direct parent column has multiple issues of inappropriate parents. The path to root is correct however.

Hmm... ok, thanks for letting us know. We'll take a look and get back to you.
